News & Announcements   Congratulations to our Students... 'Tis the season for spring musicals, and our students are springing up with roles in productions all over town (and out of town)! Congratulations to Dan Callaway's students...  Jamey Hood will be apperaing in the new musical The Shaggs at Playwrights Horizons this coming spring. Previews begin May 12.  Tim Stokel, on a great performance in The Producers at Cabrillo Music Theatre. Running through April 17.  Lisa Ferris is appearing in A Grand Night for Singing at California Musical Theatre's Cosmopolitan Cabaret in Sacramento.   Ann Villella is appearing in the cast of Gypsy at West Coast Ensemble opening May 13 at the Arena Stage in Hollywood. Directed by Richard Israel.   Carly Weilstein will be appearing in All Shook Up  with 3D Theatricals. May 13-29.  Courtney Freed will be appearing in the cast of iGhost at the Lyric Theatre. A world premiere musical by Doug Haverty and Adryan Russ.  Leigh Golden is playing Maureen in RENT at the Hudson Theatre.      Congratulations to Lori Moran's students... Marissa Koeller just finished performing the role of Mitchie in Torrance High School's production of Disney's new musical, Camp Rock, and is now in rehearsals for her role of Reno Sweeney in Belasco Theatre Company's production of Anything Goes. Danielle Jaen performed in the ensemble and understudied the part of Eliza Doolittle in Peninsula High School's production of My Fair Lady. Monet Sabel is in rehearsals for her role of Hope Cladwell in Palos Verdes High School's production of Urinetown. Selena Feliciano is in rehearsals for her role of Sylvia in Mira Costa High School's production of All Shook Up. Ty Koeller, Alec Johnson, Jesse Givich, and Calyssa Frankel are now in rehearsals for their roles of Billy Crocker, Moonface Martin, Sir Evelyn Oakliegh, and Erma, respectively, in Belasco Theatre Company's production of Anything Goes. And then, there is OPERA!  Eric Yu & Calyssa Frankel performed in the youth choir for the Los Angeles Opera Company's production of Noah's Fludde, conducted by James Conlon. Congratulations to voice students Danielle Jaen, Marissa Koeller & Marina Brooks! All three were selected to join the 100-voice American High School Honors Choir next summer for a performance at Carnegie Hall! Icon 2009 competition at the Richard & Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. Caden Michael Gray, voice student of Lori Moran, won a Macy Award and a Cappie Award for his recent portrayal of Tobias in the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts' production of Sweeney Todd.
